PAGE Super Saturday is Nov. 7 at NCSU's Talley Student Center

Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education (PAGE) of Wake County will sponsor its biannual Super Saturday event Nov. 7 at N.C. State University’s Talley Student Center. The event consists of courses covering a variety of academic subjects, which are offered in the morning from 10 a.m. to noon and in the afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Many students participate in both sessions, while others attend whichever session fits into their schedule.

Some students are interested in learning about how to become a dinosaur hunter, engineer or animal tracker, while others choose to participate in an egg drop or beading class. During the classes, parents can attend sessions pertaining to gifted education. These parent sessions are free and open to the public.

“Super Saturday is an extraordinary event because it not only provides our children with access to stimulating classes and ideas geared towards academically gifted learners, but it also creates a forum in which parents and teachers of those children can network with each other to discuss solutions to real-life issues," says Tom Johnson, President of Wake PAGE.
