Sure it's getting to be mitten and coat weather, but North Carolina is famous for it's attractive outdoors- and the Triangle is so packed with parks you could choose a different outdoor adventure every day of the week.

Do you have a favorite local: park for play? trail for hiking? or perfect place for a chilly picnic (hot chocolate included)?
Raleigh's new and improved Pullen Park is back in business attracting families to it's athletic fields, arts & aquatic centers, new Cafe and of course, amusement rides!
Pullen Park is North Carolina's first public park, established in 1887 and it's charming carousel was accepted for the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Everyone loves a good merry-go-round and I found an old-fashion one hidden away at MacDonald Woods Park in Cary.
Enjoy this park the more adventurous way: Park at Kids Together Playground and walk the half mile or so over the pedestrian overpass (across Highway 1), thereby doubling your playground fun!

I am chomping at the bit to get to Pullen Park and see all the wonderful improvements that they've made!! I'm just waiting for the crowds to die down a little bit before we head out there.
