Bikas Building of North Carolina LLC recently completed construction of
Marmalade Skies Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt in Cary’s Centrum Station at 280-103 Meeting Street. "This is the best yogurt I've ever had!" says Pete Bikas, owner of Bikas Building of North Carolina LLC. "I've heard it referred to as 'southern-style' yogurt - thick and creamy and very good!"
Owned by Josh and Nicole Ligon, Marmalade Skies held its grand opening July 24 and offers a wide range of frozen yogurt products made from skim milk. There are also low fat, no-fat, low sugar, no-sugar and gluten-free options. Lactose-free yogurt will soon be available as well. An average 4 oz. serving is only about 150 calories, and servings are priced by the ounce.
"Since it's self-serve you can have as little or as much as you want," says Josh Ligon. "Kids love it because they can make it themselves, plus we have over 50 kinds of toppings they can choose from."
Toppings range from fresh fruit to granola to candies. "Owners Josh and Nicole Ligon have developed a great theme and provide a great product with a huge selection of dry and wet toppings," Bikas says. "The self-serve machines are unique because they are Italian machines typically used for gelato."
