Triangle TRACKS

Check out some of these fun links and ideas for some Halloween Fun. Happy Halloween!!

National Geographic Kids Funny Fill-In
First, for elementary-aged children, try the "Funny Fill-in" where you are prompted to fill in a few words. Then, you click the "Read!" button and read the story. The sillier your fill-in words, the sillier the story. You can print your story, too. My son's story included dressing up as Tarzan and wearing a banana on his big toe. Have fun!

iPhone apps
With the great proliferation of iPhone apps, I wanted to see what Halloween-themed offerings are available. There's a free one that will turn your iPhone into a glow stick and a $1.99 app to help you select and put together your last-minute Halloween costume.

iGlowStick allows you to break the stick and shake the device to create a glow stick. It glows with 6 different colors and several new styles--they've just added 3 new Halloween styles. The glow stick can be used as a flashlight. Kinda cute, might be fun and it's free.

You can find iGlowStick at the Apple App Store under Entertainment. iGlowStick is by Spielwerk and rated for the 4+ crowd (nothing objectionable).

Please note: you must be at least 17 years old to download and use the following application.

If you're still trying to decide on your costume for Halloween, check out this new iPhone app—"The Decision Maker: Halloween Costume Generator." Priced at $1.99 and created by Synthetic Bits, LLC, this app allows you to select the costume gender, the type of party you're planning to attend and your current mood. Once you generate your costume, you get a detailed list of what you need and the instructions for pulling your costume together. Watch a video (on YouTube) of the costume generator here: http://tinyurl.com/ykqcb7n. This app is also available at the Apple App Store under Utilities and is rated for ages 17+.

Have a spooky, fun-filled Halloween, everyone!
