On a recent trip to my local StuffMart... Okay, on every trip to the StuffMart I have a little conversation that goes something like this:
"Mom, can I have this _____ (insert any toy)"
"Do you have any money with you?"
"I'm out of money and we haven't been keeping track of my chores. So, you have not been giving me any allowance."
Sigh.

One thing I have done with my kids since they were babies is read to them every single night. We read during the day when there is opportunity but without fail, I always prioritize about 30 minutes of reading time at night.

I found that if I enjoyed the book I was reading then they enjoyed the book. If I laughed they laughed and so on.

Have you been introduced to Raggs, yet?
Raggs is a new TV show, just for kids, starring 5 colorful canine friends. With over 200 original songs, children will enjoy "live" music throughout the show from these doggy pals along with valuable lessons for your preschooler. Entire shows center around one topic such as Opposites, Water or Friendship.
I like the music and the activity of each show but I think my favorite part is when one of the main characters, a cat named Dumpster, interviews presch…

I recently read a press release from Scholastic, Inc about the toys that kids were asking for during the holidays. Scholastic has a pretty good pulse on what kids want based on what they are buying and reading through book orders and fairs. Makes sense to me!
This is what they say,…
