Survey Being Developed by Wake County Public Schools on Year Round Schools

WCPSS' Communications Department has issued a statement that during Dec. 15 discussions in the committee of the whole meeting and in the board meeting, the board discussed its intent to permit voluntary year-round assignments to continue while ending mandatory year-round assignments beginning with the 2010-11 academic year. Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Dismissing Early Due to Inclement Weather

All district schools are dismissing early today due to inclement weather. Elementary Schools will dismiss at 12 p.m., middle schools will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. and high schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. All after-school events for Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 have been canceled. The district's elementary after-school program will also be closed Friday, December 18.

Wake County Public Schools Releasing Students 1 Hour Early Due to Pending Weather

Just in from WCPSS: The Wake County Public School System will release students from school one hour early today, Friday, Dec. 18 due to pending winter weather and its potential impact on road conditions.



The one hour early release will allow school buses to safely deliver students home before road conditions are predicted to be affected by icy winter weather.
