Event Description
On Thursday, October 20, fairgoers can get free admission by bringing 4 cans of food (or more!) to benefit the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC. Food Lion Hunger Relief Day at the NC State Fair is one of the largest one-day food drives in the state, last year bringing in 240,000 pounds alone! Food Bank volunteers and employees of Food Lion and the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will exchange cans for Fair tickets at the entrance gates.
